Craft epoxy Phantoms are now being built by Ovington
Boats.
A number of detailed improvements have been made including moulded non-slip flooring, raised toe straps and fitting positions, moulded main sheet tower. Using Epoxy foam-sandwich vacuum-bagged construction to the highest specification, Ovington have a legendary reputation producing quality race winning boats. The Phantom class association enjoys large turn-outs with over 80 boats at their Nationals.
Hull weight is only 61 Kg fitted out; with 10.5 sq meters of sail the power-to-weight ratio gives a staggering PY of 1043.
